Rapper Xzibit, comedian/actor Bill Connolly and Amanda Peet have joined the cast of the second X-FILES movie. The flick, which will be directed by series writer/ creator Chris Carter, will see Xzibit and Peet play fellow FBI agents to David Duchovny's Mulder and Gillian Anderson's Scully, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film is said to be a stand-alone story, not a sequel or continuation of the hit 1998 feature adaptation. Citing a policy of secrecy surrounding the plot line, Fox would not confirm any details regarding the three actors' roles, so says the trade.
Shooting starts in Vancouver, Canada later this month.
